Thanksgiving With My Best Friend's Mom

The holiday table in Thanksgiving With My Best Friend's Mom

One holiday, two rooms.

Kyle takes Ryan home for the holiday because Ryan has nowhere else to be. Kyle's mother runs the kitchen, and the men are parked in front of the football game. One errand after another sends Ryan back to her. The floor plan does the work on this Candy Shorts title, since a shout from the couch reaches the stove. Each episode runs under two minutes. Ryan, Kyle and his mother are adults, and Ryan is a guest, not family.

The two free episodes of Thanksgiving With My Best Friend's Mom

Episode 1 ends at 67 seconds and needs no account. Episode 2 ends at 55 seconds and needs a free account created with an email address. Dinner is promised for six, and both episodes stay inside the orbit of the kitchen.

Episode 1: dinner's at six

Ryan narrates the setup, and Kyle's first advice is to stop looking at his mother. She greets the pair, announces dinner for six and recruits Ryan for the turkey. Kyle sends him in with a warning. In the kitchen she asks him to fetch her apron, since butter has her hands full. The cooking talk turns to tasting, with a double edge. A shout from the game goes unanswered, because the kitchen is closed to visitors until dinner.

Episode 2: the pie and the game

The pie is out and, in her words, very hot. Kyle's voice reminds Ryan about the game, and Ryan says he is busy. She offers a hand with the turkey. He asks if that is an offer, and she says she is good with her hands. The last line asks whether he would like to try some before dinner. The free stretch of Candy Shorts ends on that question.
