Staycation with my fiancee's mother

What Staycation with my fiancee's mother is about

A lakeside week with an empty calendar. On Candy Shorts, Jake is newly engaged to Sophie, and her mother, Veronica Parker, welcomes the couple to the house. A flirtation turns into an affair, and the series spends its remaining episodes on one question: how long can it stay hidden? Later episodes bring a near miss and events that threaten to expose it. Jake, Sophie and Veronica are adults, and the family tie is the in-law kind.

Jake narrates the opening lines and confesses at once: he met her mother, and he could not stop. Each episode of this Candy Shorts title lasts under two minutes, so the story leans on a few well-chosen scenes.

The two free episodes of Staycation with my fiancee's mother

Episode 1: dinner, a toast and one dance

Sophie and Jake arrive on Candy Shorts with the ring still new. Veronica asks where Dad is and hears he is held up. She toasts the couple and their week away. Later she asks Jake for a single dance and tells him to breathe. Her closing line is the hook: she does not bite, she says, at least not on the first night. Episode 1 lasts 77 seconds and is free.

Episode 2: a yoga mat and an open door

Morning brings a change of cast. Sophie has rushed into town for work. She is due back in the evening, so Jake finds Veronica alone on the lakeside deck. She asks for help with a yoga stretch, then announces a shower and says he is welcome to join. Jake laughs it off and turns to leave. Her voice calls him back anyway, and the cliffhanger lands on that invitation. Episode 2 lasts 88 seconds and asks only for a free email sign-up.
